I think I'm about to dump my cable company and get a satellite of some sort.

The Dish is calling out to me.

My current cable company, who has become a monopoly, thinks it is necessary to charge me entirely too much money each month for just the basics.

Plus, there are so many fees and unexplained charges on my monthly bills that are completely a mystery.

People must not question them, however, because they continue to appear constantly.

Someone could put their own name on there and have a certain fee put into their personal accounts and customers wouldn't notice it among all of the other fees.

I've asked my cable company what all of this nonsense is and the person explained some of them to me but neglected to address all of them.

It is ridiculous.

My cable box doesn't always work properly.

On rainy days, some of our features don't even bother to attempt to work.

I'll call the cable company, ask someone to send out a signal, and wait for an hour before the signal works its magic.

I've complained so many times and have exchanged my cable box at their offices before as well.

Plus, if I do need a new box, I have to go to them.

I pay them $70 a month and have to take my broken box to them for a new one.

That just doesn't make much sense.

If they were not the only cable company that is available to my county, I would not subscribe to them.

I tried to cancel once before and the individual I spoke to offered me a package that I could not refuse.

Suddenly, my bill was cut in half and I was getting free premium channels for 6 months.

In that instance, my cable company won me back before I even cancelled.

I was a little bit upset about the fact that they can lower my bill in a split second and yet they charge so much to begin with! There is definitely a cable company conspiracy going on!

In all seriousness, I do believe that this time I will be canceling.

My free premium channels and lower bills are about to end and I refuse to pay the higher prices.

I know that they will not be offering me lower prices again, that's for sure.

I'm also planning on happily delivering my malfunctioning cable box back to them.

I wish that the cable company would be more accommodating to their customers and lower their prices.

At the very least, they can eliminate some of those mysterious fees I seem to find myself paying each month.
