Change My Life

People are afraid of suddenly becoming wealthy. They're scared it's going to change them or change how others treat them.

I can't understand people who say that winning the lottery jackpot wouldn't change their life.

What do they do the lottery for? It would certainly change my life and I wouldn't be afraid of it.

People are afraid of suddenly becoming wealthy.

They're scared it's going to change them or change how others treat them.

It does ruin some people's lives but I figure I could handle it.

They say you need about $4 million to retire on.

That sounds about right.

The first steps I'd take to change my life is to pay off any debts and then I'd buy a nice house and car.

They wouldn't be ostentatious.

The house would maybe have twelve rooms or so, with a bit of land.

I'd still want an office and it would be fun to have a den with a pool table in and a bar.

The car wouldn't be too flash either, perhaps a BMW convertible or a Lexus.

The best thing about winning would be having the opportunity to travel.

My wife and I sponsor a young girl in Malawi, thru the Plan International charity.

It would be great to visit her family and everyone in the village and see it all for ourselves instead of just reading the reports we are sent.

We'd be able to help the community more and I'm sure that experience would change my life and theirs.

After that, I'd like to go on safari in Kenya and visit North Africa.

It would be terrific to win enough money to go traveling for a year or two.

I'd like to tour across America in a big camper, just going where the wind blows us and stopping when we want.

I'd see all the great cities like New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

I'd love to see the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls.

After that, I'd change my life by visiting every capital city in Europe!

Another wonderful thing to be able to do is to support your favorite charities, especially the unfashionable ones that don't get enough publicity.

I could also change my life by setting up my own charity.

I've always fancied having my own record label and I could sign up all the local bands in my area that have talent and promote them.

I could end up like Richard Branson! There's lots of ideas I could put into practice in order to change my life.

Now, where did I put that ticket?
