Email Spam Filter

An email spam filter can help you keep annoying, unwanted messages out of your inbox but it can also keep mail that you may want out as well.

You will find less junk mail but you also may find that you are missing some mail that you would like to receive, too.

The benefits of having a good email spam filter do outweigh the slight inconvenience, though.

Just about everyone has had a virus interrupt the function of his personal computer.

Sometimes the worms and viruses can affect the work place as well.

A good email spam filter can help you avoid these bad elements on your system.

The reason that the email spam filter is so important is because many harmful worms and viruses that can damage your computer are found in attachments in emails.

A person may unknowingly open his computer to a world of damage just by opening a message with an infected attachment.

I once opened a message with the title “Warning: Spreading Worms Through Yahoo Groups” and I found that I had done quite a bit of damage to my system.

Within a few days my entire system collapsed because the worm ate memory.

This particular worm literally ate the information off of my computer, making it impossible to retrieve.

There was no way to use system restore because the memory-eating worm also had a “task-kill” virus attached to it.

The task kill element prevented you from using a program more than once.

If you opened a program like Adobe PhotoShop the virus would kill that task.

If you tried to open it again you would find that you couldn’t.

By the time this worm and virus were through with my system I had to purchase another computer.

All of this could have been avoided if I would have had a good email spam filter for protection.

I would probably have never seen the message.

If I found it in my junk mail I would have been less likely to open it.

The first thing I did when I got my new computer was to install a solid email spam filter that I could truly rely on.

I am happy with the service but I have noticed that some emails that I really want to read wind up in my junk mail.

This usually happens when I make an online purchase.

I have to make sure to check my junk mail as much as I do my inbox.

This is a small inconvenience considering the peace of mind I get by having the email spam filter.
