Employment agencies can be wonderful tools to aid in a job search or finding the right employee for your company.
I have used employment agencies to find worthwhile employees in order to eliminate my having to interview and spend valuable time checking into their backgrounds.
My company pays the employment agencies who in turn, send us employees who are already interviewed and checked out.
Granted, employment agencies cannot weed out all of the employees who will not be a suitable fit for your company, however, it is an excellent place to start.
Two of my very best and most reliable employees were sent to my company from local employment agencies.
I hired both of them as full-time employees within the first week.
On the other end of the spectrum, individuals who are searching for jobs may have better luck by registering at employment agencies.
Many companies would rather not go through the process of placing an ad in the paper and interviewing candidates.
Interviewing potential employees can be very time consuming.
Employment agencies have already screened their employees and know their abilities.
If you are looking for a certain job, employment agencies might have a position for you that could start immediately.
You won't have to bother with sending resumes and hoping that someone calls you.
There won't be the nervousness of a job interview.
You will simply accept or decline the position that the employment agencies are offering to you.
Sometimes these positions can be very temporary or long term.
Many people have landed full-time, high paying jobs through employment agencies.
I have many acquaintances who have used the services of employment agencies when moving to a new area.
Perhaps you have relocated and are not familiar with the town or the job market.
Employment agencies can help you determine what would be best for you and what companies are compatible.
Usually there is no fee for the employees, it is the company that hires the employees who will pay a fee.
Employers pay the fees willingly, knowing that the amount of work they have to do to find an employee was eliminated.
All they have to do is wait for their assigned employee to show up.
Employment agencies sometimes offer some job skill training as well.
Many times, you can learn basic computer programs and skills at their facility.
They might aid you in putting together a resume and preparing for job interviews.
Sometimes there is a small fee for these training opportunities, and others do not charge at all.
So, whether you are the one doing the job hunting or the one trying to find someone who wants a job, employment agencies are an excellent starting place.
