How to consume less energy and live better!
We don't often reflect enough on the fact that every daily action of ours contributes to increase the consumption of energy and helps to decrease rapidly the world’s energy resources
Nowadays one does better a big speak of energetic saving, but are few those who do something in concrete, every day.
Yet everybody of us is able, if he (or she) really wants, to consume less energy in the small one, now.
But first it is necessary to answer to some questions.
Because I should consume less energy? Only to save hundred of dollars a month? May be I should do it to save the environment?
I should perhaps decrease my way of life? For now the answer that I give to you is: not necessarily.
But then because I would owe?
Because I can do it now and save that money for which we are ready to overwork in behalf of our boss or our customers?
Because natural resources are already in exhaustion (and I'm not talking about oil only, will it touch to the water later)
To give the good example to our children
To go quickly independent of a lifestyle based on debts and consumptions, or simply to do the contrary of what all the others do (bloody-minded?) And to see what's happens!
So we can consume less energy, today!
From where to begin? From what we do every day: we reflect for a moment on our daily habits and we'll realize there our gestures and recurrent actions are:
-turn on the current switch
-turn on our car engine
-do to flow the water to many times a day
-do the expenses
-reach the place of job to
-turn on the boiler or the air-conditioner in summer to throw
-put in the basket the package of the products bought
-leave in stand-by television, VCR, do chargers for the phone, computer, videos
We should abdicate, will you say? What we should abdicate? The frenzy. Period.
Keep on making the same things, but do them less often, enjoy the greater leisure time and put in pocket the saved money!
In fact, contrarily to that is commonly suited to think, more one frantically lives, that is more is tried to do more things at the same time, more one makes them bad, increases the stress, the risk of illnesses, is not productive and at the end that time is wasted!
The technology race, excessive advertisement, fear of not to be approved in the society and "to think that we can do everything and anyway" they are the 4 principal attacks to which we have to make forehead.
These reasons push us toward a behavior to tall waste of energy and environmental impact, without giving to us, to the long one, a real advantage.
Additionally this behavior deprives us from a precious thing even more important of the money: our leisure time!
I have had till now personally in my life different satisfactions both materials how emotional and psychological.
Ten-fifteen years ago I conducted also a conventional life: house in the city, office in front of house, secretary, 2 personal motorcars, vacations of 30 days the year, different trips along the year.
I also had many relationships both professional and sentimental and different successes in my job and in the formation, trips of study and job abroad.
My main activity has always been that of business adviser, first in Personnel Management, then in Finance and Control of Management.
However must one considers that I have always had the advantage to choose the distance between house and the place of job.
And today instead? Today I live in a smaller apartment and with independent entry therefore to zero apartment building common expenses
I live in one of the countries more greens of my region, away from highways, railroads, industrial zones, shopping centers, and so on.
In alone 5 minutes (and in bicycle) I reach the inner city, where the needful is available and all goods and services that you can find in the great cities.
I work mainly from home with a flat ADSL internet connection and my only car almost always stays firm.
The consultations and the courses that I hold on behalf of a multinational of business consulting, hock only me some days the year.
I held these courses in big cities as Milan and Rome that I reach by train.
In summary what I have abdicated? The frenzy.
First Outcome:
The monthly real saving in money compared with previous situation is equal to a basic salary, after taxes, but not only!
Second Outcome:
Great availability of leisure time because of I've been able to reduce a part of the time that first I invested for producing that great income that it served me to finance the frenzy!
And Here how we can consume less energy and follow the way of living better!
Anything else other than buy some lightbulbs to energetic saving or methane motorcars (by the way my only motorcar is to methane!)
