These two concepts seem to go hand in hand. It is difficult to imagine cyberspace without a little risk.

We love our computers, don't we! They make life go a little bit smoother and routine tasks a tad simpler.

We're all looking for that sort of convenience. It's something no one will ever tire of.

And the great part is that it only gets better.

As the years pass, our technology grows and becomes even more amazing.

Will the convenience ever cease to progress? I seriously doubt it.

Before you know it, we'll all be getting our groceries online. But what about the Internet and security factor?

These two concepts seem to go hand in hand. It's difficult to imagine cyberspace without a little risk.

Do you know what you're exposing on the web? So what about the whole identity fraud and security issue with the net?

Do you thing your credit card number is in the hands of a cyber-crook?

Or maybe you're worried about your social security number and/or bank transactions being viewed by a third party.

Well, to set your mind at ease a bit, I will tell you that 95 percent of all identity theft happens off the web.

I know, I know, that's not totally reassuring, but it should relieve you some when surfing the web for Christmas gifts.

It's doubtful that your personal information will be received by third parties.

The cool thing about reputable web-stores is their security. The majority of them have very secure transaction pages.

This way your credit card information is on lockdown. It's only seen by you and the vendor.

On the other hand, Internet and security issues are still always popping up.

This is more or less due to the fact of online Interaction. So many people communicate via the web these days.

Even complete strangers are given access to personal information. This commonly happens with callow teenagers.

They feel way too at ease about handing out their full name and address. This is not bright to say the least.

If we want to crack down on the Internet and security dilemma, we have to be prudent.

Then there are the viruses. These will never cease to exist as long as PCs are around.

I continually hear my buddies and family members whine about computer viruses.

Well, to be honest, when it comes to Internet and security where viruses are concerned, I say go with a Mac.

I have owned one for two years now and never encountered a single virus, or any spy-ware.

If you must keep the PC, you'd better invest in the top anti-virus software around.

It's worth the cash.
