The Internet has done a lot of things in the past decade or more.

I would have to say that one of the coolest ones concerns communication.

I ma referring to the countless online forums and chat rooms that are visited by millions of people 24/7.

In all honest I never foresaw such a thing back when I was in high school.

I think it's safe to say that the World-Wide-Web blew most of us away.

Suddenly we had the world at our beck and call. Well, at least in a sense.

You may be connecting with some and not even know it.

I will fully admit that I took advantage of online communities around seven years ago.

I totally understand how this stuff works and appreciate it on a daily basis.

Personally I enjoy online communities such as Knifeforums.com.

This is basically a website/forum that allows you to post topics, pictures and replies regarding knives and collecting.

It's an utter blast if you're crazy about cutlery. The site has been broken down into various links for easy navigation.

I love some of the custom links that lead you to photo galleries of personal collections.

This is pure entertainment for me. But, these online communities aren't just for making comments and appreciating nice pictures; they're also for speaking to others who share your passions and hobbies.

You can post messages or send personal replies to anyone you wish. Maybe you want to make a bid on a knife for sale in the sales forum.

This is done all day long, and folks are constantly posting new blades for sale. It's great! It allows many individuals like myself to acquire certain knives for a smaller cost than a dealer would sell them for.

Now, I know everyone is interested in saving some money. What are you interested in?
