Public domain images

Public domain images are out there for anyone to use, and should be free of charge.

There are many places today where you can get public domain images, and the demand for them has gone up with the rise of the Internet.

I know that on occasion I need to have a good photograph to go with a piece of writing, but I cannot afford to pay the high price for a photo from some of the stock photography sites that are out there on the web.

If you have a large budget, the stock sites will have what you need.

However, if you need something for free, you can still find what you are looking for, though your choices will be more limited.

Public domain images are out there for anyone to use, and should be free of charge.

You should always read the fine print on any site you use to find photos for whatever reason.

Some people like to list their photos as public domain images, but they only allow this for free use.

If you are making money with the photograph, you should by all rights pay for it.

Most public domain photos are free no matter what, but if the name of the photographer is listed, you should be professional and list them as the photographer on the credits.

If you do a search for public domain images you are going to find plenty from which to choose.

The government has a huge collection of free images that you can use for whatever you choose.

You may not find exactly what you need, but this is a good place to start your search for public domain images for your articles or for your website.

Remember to look for disclaimers about commercial uses of photos.

If you don’t understand what you are reading, you should email the photographer or the person who runs the site for an answer that you can understand.

It’s sometimes hard to understand legal terms, and they should be happy to spell it out for you in simpler language.

Some photographers that offer up public domain images do so to update their portfolios.

If you use one of their photos, be sure to let them know so they can see where you used it.

This will help them out with future paying jobs, and is the reason they offer some photos for free.

Like I mention, make sure you credit them for the public domain images, and don’t alter the photograph without their permission.

Remember that taking a photo that is not free and altering it is still not acceptable without permission.
