I love being in charge of myself and only having to worry about clients, and there is no supervisor other than myself looking over my shoulder.

It’s not a failure if you can’t; it just means that you need a more structured environment to work productively.

You also have to be able to work through just about anything without anyone there to back you up.

If you are interested in self employment, remember that you will have to take care of everything on your own.

If you have a successful business, you may be able to hire someone to work for you, but you should never count on that.

Remember that self employment does not work well for everyone, and it is a risk to leave the nine to five world to go out on your own.

Make sure you have planned for everything before you give your day job, and make sure you know what you are doing.

With every risk comes possible drawbacks.

You could stand to make a lot of money with the right idea or job, but you can also lose everything if you are not careful.
