Virtual High School
How is high school working out for you? Are you enjoying all of the teachers, books, and dirty looks? When it comes to those high school years, things can be a bit iffy.
How is high school working out for you? Are you enjoying all of the teachers, books, and dirty looks? When it comes to those high school years, things can be a bit iffy.
In my experience some individuals love their high school experience and others hate it.
This is just the plain and simple reality of teen interaction.
It truly can be so tough at times.
You basically get up early every morning, get dressed and venture off on the big yellow limo.
Or in your car if you're one of the lucky ones who have one.
However, things may not stay this way forever.
That classic high school experience, whether good or bad, may be altered once and for all.
Have you ever heard of virtual high school? Yes, that's right folks; I just said virtual high school.
This may take a while to sink in.
As many of us are already aware, oodles of parents are teaching their children at home these days.
This is becoming a fairly common routine.
I certainly never noticed the popularity of home-schooling until I reached adulthood.
Whenever I ponder the concept, I often wonder how these children proceed on to college.
Now, I'm not just referring to grades and transcripts here.
What about social interaction? If children do not attend a school of some sort, when will they interact with their peers? I always thought this was a crucial time to build social skills.
This same dilemma arises with virtual high school.
Can you imagine your child taking courses from home on the computer? This sounds so bizarre in theory.
On the other hand, colleges are already doing it across the country.
It's a synch to pick up an online course these days.
Would you allow your child access to virtual high school? Or, would you prefer them to stick to the more traditional ways of public school? Where virtual high school is concerned, I think we all can see some benefits.
For example, if you are living in an unsafe community with dangerous schools, then virtual high school could be beneficial.
This could also be ideal for handicapped children, who wish to acquire education in the privacy of their own home.
If you would like to learn more about virtual high school, then simply hop online and take a gander at the current situation.
Soon your child may be taking a class or two online.
